How we grow
Growin’ In the ground! We are a certified organic vegetable farm. The land is class 1 fine sandy loam and silty clay loam with abundant water with rights from a deep artesian well. We spray no pesticides or herbicides. The deep diversity of the wild systems surrounding our farm join us in the fields. Our field edges are filled with blooming plants, prickly plants, bird songs and insect flight.
We do the work ourselves, a couple of first generation farm kids and our two children. And we’ve been doing the work for ten years, eleven seasons of year-round CSA vegetables (460 weeks!). On most days, you can find us bent over the fields, touching something. We harvest by hand, trim and wash by hand, and sell to the directly to the people who eat the food.
